{"id":10,"count":27,"description":"\"Forty Thanksgivings\" was my 2014 Lenten writing discipline, a kind of prose-poetic journal of ordinary things I felt deserved more notice. There were intended to be forty entries, but I fell behind and gave the project up with a couple of weeks to go. The problem was less that I ran out of time to write and polish the pieces than that I wore out simply trying to think of topics. That bothers me; I feel I should have been able to keep going. All it takes is simply sitting and looking! But for me, at least, that can be the hardest thing to find time for. So while I failed in my discipline, I'm hoping I get partial credit simply for recognizing how hard it really is, and for letting that recognition be a thorn in my side.
